Job Summary
PICC RN / Vascular Access Specialist responsible for bedside insertion of PICCs, midlines, extended dwell catheters, peripheral IVs, and establishment of intravascular ports. Educates patients and families on procedures, answers questions, and educates staff as needed. Documents procedures clearly per client policy. Works across a variety of healthcare facilities, frequently driving between client sites and using portable ultrasound equipment. Requires active RN license in the practicing state plus ACLS and BCLS certifications. Strong communication, patient focus, and professional credibility skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BCLS certification
- Completed vascular access competency skills checklist
