Physiotherapy Assistant - Meaford

Job Summary
Conduct group exercises and lead one-on-one therapy sessions with assigned residents as directed by the Physiotherapist. Encourage residents to achieve treatment program goals while assisting with walking, sitting, and safe transfers. Perform treatments including ice packs, hot packs, ultrasound therapy, and TENS units. Document treatments and resident progress per instructions and monitor health status changes to report to supervision. Work 37.5 hours weekly in a Long Term Care setting in Meaford, Ontario. A Physiotherapy Assistant graduate with a vulnerable sector police check, TB test, and reliable vehicle is required. Experience in retirement homes is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates
- A current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray
- Access to a reliable vehicle

- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home
