Job Summary
Conduct group exercises and lead one-on-one sessions with residents as directed by the Physiotherapist. Assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers while performing treatments such as ice packs, ultrasound, and TENS. Document treatment progress and monitor health status changes, reporting updates to the supervisor. Encourage residents to achieve their planned treatment goals. This role requires 38 hours per week from March 7th to April 8th, 2022. Candidates must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate with a valid police check, TB test, and chest X-Ray. Experience in long-term care is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home
