Job Summary
Conduct group exercises and lead one-on-one sessions with residents under Physiotherapist supervision. Assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers while applying treatments like ice packs, ultrasound, TENS, and hot wax. Document treatment progress and monitor health status changes to report to the supervisor. Encourage residents to meet their planned treatment goals. This role requires a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate with multi-tasking skills and experience in long-term care. A valid 2 STEP TB test, police check, and reliable vehicle are mandatory, as bus access is not available. Candidates must reside in Kingsville or the Windsor area, as relocation is not considered.
Required Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray
- Access to a reliable vehicle with Valid Drivers License
- Resident of Kingsville and/or Windsor Area
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home
