Job Summary
Conduct group and one-on-one exercises with residents under Physiotherapist supervision to help them achieve treatment goals. Assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers while monitoring health status changes and reporting to supervisors. Document treatments and progress after each session and perform modalities such as ice packs, ultrasound, TENS, and hot wax. Encourage residents to meet their planned treatment objectives. Must be a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate with a valid 2 STEP TB test, police check, and reside in Guelph or surrounding areas.
Required Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray
- Must be a resident of Guelph and/or Surrounding Area
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home
- Access to reliable vehicle
