Job Summary
Conduct group exercises and lead one-on-one sessions with assigned residents under Physiotherapist direction. Encourage residents to meet treatment program goals, document progress, and assist with walking, sitting, and safe transfers. Monitor health status changes and report to supervisors. Perform treatments including ice packs, hot packs, ultrasound, and TENS therapy. Requires Physiotherapy Assistant graduation, Long Term Care experience, and a valid police check. Must reside in Hamilton; no relocation considered. Temporary coverage available March 16-20 only.
Required Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to communicate well with the elderly, supervisors, and teammates
- Experience working in a Long Term Care or Retirement home
- Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid 2 STEP TB Test and/or Chest X-ray
- Resident of Hamilton and/or the Surrounding Area
Desired Qualifications
- Access to a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
