Job Summary

Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide patient/family education to prepare individuals for community discharge. Evaluate progress and identify needs for supplementary assessments or referrals within the trauma, burns, and complex care population. Actively participate in interprofessional team meetings, clinical rounds, huddles, and quality improvement initiatives. Assign tasks to Physiotherapist Assistants and volunteers under indirect supervision while supervising PT and PTA students. Rotate attendance across inpatient units including Amputee, Cardiovascular, and Transplant Rehab Programs as scheduled. Requires current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and minimum one year of clinical experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary program in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience relative to the patient population the unit serves
  • Competence in the practice of evidence-based physiotherapy and interprofessional care, with experience in the application of practice models and outcome measures relevant to the patient population the unit serves
  • Demonstrated commitment to Person Centered Care approach and principles
