Job Summary
Provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and interventions for hospital inpatients, including hydrotherapy treatments where appropriate. Develop individualised treatment plans through patient-centred partnerships and establish effective relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues. Actively participate in team meetings to contribute to collaborative care planning and utilise outcome measures to support continuous improvement. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and legislation. Participate in the department's weekend roster as required and contribute to the education and supervision of students. This role supports patients throughout their recovery journey to regain independence within a leading private hospital in regional Victoria.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Experience, or a strong interest, in delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions within a clinical setting
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to patient-centred care, professional development and continuous improvement
- Participation in the physiotherapy department's weekend roster, where required
- All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be Influenza vaccinated
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or an interest in hydrotherapy
- Postgraduate qualifications or further study in a relevant area
