Job Summary
Triage weekday and weekend patient lists, prioritising care based on clinical need and demand. Deliver safe, evidence-based clinical assessments and management for acute cardiorespiratory and complex cohorts across Cardiorespiratory, Neurological, General Medicine, and Aged Care areas. Work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting junior staff with triage and discharge planning, and advocating for the physiotherapy service. Maintain availability for a minimum of one shift per month, with potential weekend rotation opportunities.
Required Qualifications

- Discharge planning expertise
- Experience in management of acute respiratory patients
- Experience in management of clinically deteriorating patients
- Well developed clinical skills for working with acute, cardiorespiratory and complex care patient cohorts in the hospital setting
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a minimum of 1 shift per month
- Ability to work weekends
- Senior Physiotherapist capability for weekend work
- Ability to support junior staff with triage, complex clinical presentations and discharge planning
- Ability to advocate for the Physiotherapy service
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to collaborate with Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to triage weekday/weekend list and prioritise appropriately based on clinical need and demand
- Ability to provide safe and evidence based clinical assessment and management of Cardiorespiratory patients
- Ability to deliver safe and high quality patient care in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care framework
- Ability to contribute to a culture that values ongoing learning
