Job Summary
Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in seating, positioning, and safety strategies. Provide in-house staff education sessions on adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for injury prevention. Serve as a resource and educator to staff and families regarding equipment recommendations and prescription. This Long-Term Care role in Cornwall, ON, offers 18 hours per week with competitive compensation for a skilled Physiotherapist. Preference is given to candidates with a recent Vulnerable Sector Search.
Required Qualifications
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Registrant in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire
- Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test
- Knowledge/experience in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes
- Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families

- Completed a Vulnerable Sector Search in the past six (6) months
