Physics Subject Matter Expert – Virtual & 3D Science Labs

Job Summary
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate workstreams to create scientific content for interactive virtual and 3D physics laboratories. Supervise SMEs, manage priorities, and act as the bridge between Product, Design, and Development teams to ensure requirements are delivered on schedule. Oversee experiment design, review assets for pedagogical accuracy, and translate subject needs into actionable tasks while maintaining WCAG accessibility standards. Contribute to research proposals, presales activities, and client engagements by delivering presentations and resolving content questions. Support the full lifecycle from concept to production readiness and track usage adoption for selected institutions.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field such as Biology, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Physiology, Education, Learning Sciences, or a related discipline
- Experience in subject matter expert work, educational content development, or digital learning products
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams such as Product, Design, Development, or platform teams
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple subject areas or with SME teams across different domains is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with workflow and ticketing tools such as Jira or YouTrack
- Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive learning design
