Job Summary
Assist teaching personnel in the preparation, presentation, supervision and evaluation of laboratory work; set up in-class demonstrations of equipment and labs; prepare and set up lab exams; incorporate new equipment and experiments; maintain lab equipment and cleanliness; supervise students during labs; ensure safety procedures and WHMIS compliance; maintain inventory and storage of lab supplies; update safety data sheets; collaborate with colleagues to support smooth operation of laboratories; requires effective communication in English and French and attention to detail in a post-secondary educational environment.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation recognized as equivalent
- Experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a post-secondary institution
- A valid first aid certificate or ability to take the required course
- Strong communication skills in English and French, written and speaking
