Job Summary
Physicist – Radiation Oncology with NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center (Full Time) to join a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Residency-enabled department. Responsibilities include machine calibrations, equipment QA, treatment planning, dosimetry measurements, calculations, brachytherapy, radiation safety, and some teaching. Active involvement with the Gamma Knife Icon unit and collaboration across Eclipse, Brainlab, Leksell Gamma Plan, Velocity, and ARIA systems. Requires on-site presence in NY, collaboration with a team of physicists and dosimetrists, and incorporation of advanced technologies (e.g., MR-guided treatments, OSMS, ExacTrac, INTRABEAM IORT, TBI, HDR, LDR). Qualified candidates will have an MS or PhD in physics/medical physics, NY license or eligibility, and experience in Radiation Oncology physics; ABR certification is preferred. Required Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, medical physics or related field
- New York State Licensed medical physicist or New York State License eligible
- ABR certification (preferred)
- Three years of experience in Radiation Oncology Physics
- Experience with Gamma Knife
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse, Brainlab and IGRT
