Job Summary
Establish and meet individual and departmental goals for the year, implementing plans to reach objectives within specified time frames. Coordinate policies and systems affecting the department while ensuring compliance with DNV standards, State and Federal regulations, and national physics protocols. Assist in quality assurance testing, equipment calibrations, and acceptance testing to ensure machine integrity and patient safety. Provide clinical support for treatment planning, including accurate computer/manual calculations and dissymmetric data for external beam applications. Verify chart checks on all patients undergoing team treatment and maintain patient safety control measures as required by Georgia Dept. of Resources and JCAHO.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible
- Masters Degree
- Bachelors Degree plus Masters of Science in Medical Physics or similar degree
- Completion of physics residency program
- Level I Physicist entry level
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
