Job Summary
Physicist responsible for the technical quality control program in Radiation Oncology, including equipment calibration and commissioning, ensuring accurate dose delivery to the defined patient site. Supports Chief Physicist and Dosimetrists with treatment planning/calculations, HDR brachytherapy planning/calibration, and verification of treatment parameters; collaborates with physicians and staff to meet regulatory requirements and maintain safe, effective patient treatment. Requires an advanced degree (M.S./Ph.D.) and ABR eligibility, with two years of clinical experience in radiation therapy.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Radiation Science, Health Physics, Physics or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a clinical Radiation Therapy Department
- Eligible for ABR certification in related Medical physics specialty
