Job Summary
Physician responsible for providing primary care in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting in Torrington, CT. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, performing diagnostic tests, prescribing treatment, administering vaccinations, and conducting follow-up exams. Will educate patients in disease prevention and health maintenance, prepare medical records and reports, and participate in quality assurance and utilization reviews. Requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, ability to serve diverse cultural backgrounds, and ongoing assessment of growth and development across the lifespan. Must hold an MD or DO with CT licensure and completed residency; board certification or eligibility desirable; position requires on-site patient care and participation in on-call rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited school
- Residency completed in an accredited specialty
- Board certification or board eligibility desirable
- Current licensure in the State of Connecticut
- Federal and State Controlled Substances Licenses valid
