Job Summary
The Vice Chair for System Integration, Anesthesiology, at West Virginia University Health System is a senior physician leader responsible for advancing clinical excellence, operational alignment, quality performance, workforce stability, and strategic growth. The role involves serving as the primary liaison with community hospital leadership, promoting evidence-based practices, supporting recruitment and workforce strategy, and ensuring transparent compensation structures. The successful candidate must maintain a visible presence across hospitals, participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and possess strong leadership and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- Eligible for an unrestricted state medical license
- Completed an Anesthesiology residency program
- Board certified in Anesthesiology
- Minimum 7 years post-training clinical experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience with ASPIRE and MPOG quality reporting platforms
- Willingness and ability to travel routinely to system hospitals
