Job Summary
Physician in vascular surgery responsible for direct and indirect patient care, supervising the interdisciplinary team, providing medical education to residents and students, contributing to clinical research, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with professional standards. The role involves collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, maintain up-to-date medical records for billing, participate in teaching conferences, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives within the Moses Cone Health System in Burlington, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a Medical School recognized by the North Carolina Medical Board; eligible for full licensure in NC
- Experience: Completed appropriate residency training and fellowship training as required
- Licensure/Certification: Board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association; current and valid DEA registration; professional liability insurance as required; NC medical license; evidence of board certification if five years have elapsed since residency
- Other: MUST meet Moses Cone Health System Medical Staff bylaws and achieve appropriate medical staff privileges
