Job Summary
Physicians provide high-quality medical care to adults and children in Piedmont Urgent Care, evaluating and implementing care with appropriate resource management in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role involves delivering exceptional patient satisfaction, documenting services accurately, maintaining records, supporting operations, and pursuing ongoing professional development with required certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) as applicable. The position reports to the Regional Medical Director and offers a flexible 3-day/12-hour weekly schedule for full-time status, competitive compensation with bonuses, CME allowance, PTO, malpractice tail coverage, comprehensive benefits, a 401K match, and career growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice
- Current DEA registration
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
- BLS certification (we will provide this if needed)
- Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other employees
