Job Summary
Conduct high-volume outpatient breast surgery and clinic duties within a multidisciplinary team at the University of Arizona Cancer Center. Manage a robust practice with immediate volume while providing clinical mentoring to medical students and residents through lectures and didactics. Deliver comprehensive care for breast, endocrine, hepato-pancreato-biliary, colorectal, sarcoma, and melanoma sub-specialties supported by dedicated staff including genetic counselors and nurse navigators. Maintain a Monday through Friday schedule with breast service call, excluding general surgery call. The role offers an academic appointment consistent with credentials within an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Required Qualifications
- BE/BC by the American Board of Surgery
- Fellowship-Trained in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology, or equivalent experience in a dedicated breast practice
- Valid AZ Medical License (or eligible)
- Desire to work in an academic setting is essential
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer breast surgeon with 3+ years of experience, but new graduates will be considered as well
