Job Summary
Provide surgical and procedural care in hospital and/or ambulatory settings, performing procedures consistent with training and specialty focus. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, hospital medicine, and specialty services to support perioperative care, patient safety, and quality outcomes. Participate in service line development and expansion of surgical programs while contributing to community engagement and access to care initiatives. Maintain a strong commitment to Novant Health's quality and safety standards. This role supports the development of a premier Surgical Services Institute across the South Carolina region, focusing on Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort markets.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Fellowship training (for subspecialty roles, as applicable)
- Board certified or board eligible in applicable surgical specialty
- Current MD/DO license (or eligibility) in South Carolina
- DEA license
- Strong procedural and surgical skillset within specialty
- Interest in program growth and service line development
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
