Job Summary
Physician provides primary medical care to Sea Mar patients as part of a collaborative care team. Responsibilities include delivering team-based care, organizing and directing preventive health programs (immunizations, disease detection and prevention), referring to medical specialists when necessary, and prescribing medications within prescriptive authority. The role requires participation in clinical affairs with Medical Director and Health Center Administrator, care for patients in various settings (including nursing homes when appropriate), and contributing to an excellent patient experience by upholding Sea Mar’s mission and values. Qualifications include MD or DO license, board certification (or active pursuit), DEA certificate for prescribing controlled substances, BLS CPR, and any OB privileges NRP certification as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with a focus on culturally-aware service to Latino communities in Washington State.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed M.D or D.O.
- Board certification within five (5) years of residency completion
- Current DEA certificate if prescribing controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire
- Current NRP certificate if OB privileges
- ACGME or AOA-approved post-graduate residency completion or equivalent
- Active medical license to practice in WA state
- Ability to obtain/maintain hospital privileges as required
- Pre-hire and annual employee health screening with influenza vaccine requirement (unless exempt)
- Board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification
- Ability to supervise clinical staff as applicable
