Job Summary
Physician to provide primary medical care as part of a care team at Sea Mar Community Health Centers. The role includes delivering hospital and institutional care as required, referring patients to specialists when necessary, and prescribing medications according to the Washington State Board. Responsibilities also include organizing and directing preventive health programs (e.g., immunization, disease detection and prevention), participating in clinical affairs with administrative leadership, and providing care for special patient groups such as those in nursing homes or other institutions. The position emphasizes team-based, culturally-aware service delivery and ongoing professional development in alignment with Sea Mar’s mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred. The role requires adherence to pre-hire and annual health screenings, influenza vaccination, board certification timelines, DEA certification for controlled substances, and documentation of necessary certifications (BLS; NRP if OB privileges). The successful applicant will be supervised by the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, and Health Center Administrator and will supervise assigned nursing and professional staff as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed M.D or D.O.
- Pre-hire and annual employee health screening required
- Annual influenza vaccine required or approved exemption with mask
- Board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification (within five years of residency completion)
- Current DEA certificate if requesting privileges to prescribe controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintained thereafter
- Current NRP certificate if requesting OB privileges
- ACGME or AOA-approved post-graduate residency completion
- Ability to obtain/maintain Medical licensure in WA
- Credentialing as required by Sea Mar Health Centers
