Job Summary
Physician provides primary medical care to Sea Mar Community Health Centers patients as part of a team-based care approach, collaborating with staff to deliver comprehensive, culturally aware services. Responsibilities include delivering hospital and institutional care as needed, referring patients to specialists when appropriate, managing medications under state prescriptive authority, participating in preventive health programs (immunization, disease detection and prevention), and contributing to program improvements alongside medical leadership. Preference for bilingual English/Spanish skills; candidate must hold an MD or DO with applicable licensure and satisfy ongoing credentialing requirements, including board certification within five years of residency and DEA certification for controlled substances. Required Qualifications
- Licensed M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in the appropriate specialty or actively seeking board certification
- Current DEA certificate if prescribing controlled substances
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintained thereafter
- Annual influenza vaccine required or medical/religious exemption approved by Administration (with mask if exempt)
- NLP/NRP certification required if OB privileges (as applicable)
- ACGME or AOA accredited postgraduate residency completion
- Ability to practice under prescriptive authority as per Washington State Board
- English and Spanish bilingual ability preferred
