Job Summary
Diagnose and treat veterans enrolled in the clinic while overseeing clinical care delivery. Lead chart reviews, direct observation, and adhere to VA guidelines to maintain excellent clinical outcomes. Serve as a medical resource for care delivery and develop collaborative relationships with VA partners. Support patient enrollment and retention through guidance on scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits. Work a hybrid schedule of two weeks onsite and two weeks remote with office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. No on-call duties, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Medical transcripts required during interview with Recruiter
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO)
- Board-certified in family practice or internal medicine
- Active, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
- Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually)
- Ability to provide clinical leadership
- Maintain a positive clinic culture by displaying an enthusiastic and encouraging demeanor
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
