Job Summary
Physician - Primary Care for SNFs in contracted skilled nursing facilities in the greater Yuba City, Gridley and Chico CA area. MD/DO to supervise NP/PAs and diagnose/treat patients in the SNF setting. Responsibilities include evaluating conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans (prescriptions), monitoring results, conducting exams, ordering/lab tests and interpreting results, coordinating with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other providers, ensuring quality and safe service per Joint Commission and regulations, maintaining records, pursuing continuing medical education, and contributing to department value. Competitive benefits, a sign-on bonus, and a schedule that includes Day shift with Night/Weekend call coverage; providers are not required to work evenings or weekends. Salary $300,000.00–$350,000.00 per year, with full benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, CME, loan forgiveness, and malpractice insurance. Work Location: In person; Schedule: Monday to Friday, no nights, no weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a degree in medicine and a valid license from the California Medical Board.
- Experience: 3-5 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS/ACLS required; Current DEA required
- In depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
- SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication; active listening; time management; interpersonal skills; compassion; empathy; critical thinking; social perceptiveness; complex problem solving
