Job Summary
Provide primary care to non-surgical adult patients within a VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Oakland, CA. In a Patient Aligned Care Team, the Physician assembles with a team (PCP, RN, LVN, Clerk) to manage a patient panel (800-1200). Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and consulting for diverse adult conditions; stabilizing and dispositioning emergent cases per medical staff policy; collaborating with mid-level providers and other specialties to co-manage patient care; managing chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD, chronic pain) and providing preventive health services in a team-based setting; additional duties as assigned. Benefits include a salary range of $285K-$315K (negotiable), Education Debt Reduction Program, Monday–Friday schedule, substantial PTO, federal retirement benefits, CME reimbursement, and liability protection. Licensure requirement: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US state or territory; CME and moonlighting provisions noted.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and full, unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory
- Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine preferred
- Experience providing primary care in a team-based setting (VA or integrated care environment) preferred
