Job Summary
Provide quality integrated primary health care services and medication management to patients in an outpatient setting. Serve as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team, collaborating with physician assistants and physician assistants to deliver general medical and behavioral health care to clients of all ages. Manage clinical obligations including coding medical encounters, utilizing Aspire's Electronic Health Record for documentation, and ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, and state licensure laws. Maintain strict confidentiality while demonstrating compassion and respect for patient needs within a team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education
- Must be recognized as a Medical Doctor (MD) or a DO with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
- Must have current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Must have current BLS certification
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting
- Must be able to demonstrate the effective use of Aspire's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other technologies supporting quality patient care and disease management as it relates to clinical documentation
- Must be knowledgeable of social service systems (Medicaid, Social Security, etc.), community resources, legal systems, school systems and child welfare systems
- Must be able to empathize and be compassionate to patient needs
- Demonstrate respect for patient confidentiality practices
- Demonstrate the ability to provide patient-centered care utilizing clinical best practice guidelines
- Deep personal commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Aspire Indiana Health
- Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle highly confidential information with professionalism
- Meet all clinical obligations of the Center's medical practice, including CLIA, HIPAA, Medical State and Federal regulations
- Ensure compliance with state licensure laws, state medication administration laws, etc.
- Ability to properly code medical encounters
- Drug screen, TB test and extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References)

Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience with underserved communities preferred
- Prefer credentialing / board certification in field of expertise
