Job Summary
Administer and coordinate all operations for the assigned Physician Practice to achieve clinical quality, financial viability, and patient safety. Supervise all employees and manage daily practice services including patient access, scheduling, pre-authorization, chart management, and nursing functions. Ensure compliance with departmental operational throughput goals while maintaining service excellence and customer satisfaction. Requires current CMA certification, BLS, and three years of management experience in healthcare or business. Full-time role with 7a-4p hours and no weekend requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Minimum of three (3) years management experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field
- Graduate from a medical assisting program or institute accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
- Current American Heart Association's Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Expertise in ambulatory/physician office practice flow and activities, specialty specific disease processes and conditions; in-office procedures, and patient education
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) certified through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or sciences, public health or other closely related fields
- Minimum of three (3) years patient care experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practice or other ambulatory care setting
- Implementation and maintenance of an electronic medical record
