Job Summary
The Physician Practice Business Manager oversees the efficient management of business operations across BBAHC provider services (emergency department, outpatient, inpatient, CHAP village clinics) in the Bristol Bay Area. Responsibilities include managing financial activities, administrative functions, facility enrollments, and serving as HR liaison while ensuring compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, HRSA, Medicaid/Medicare, Credentialing/Enrollment, and CHAP requirements. The role requires collaboration with diverse stakeholders, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Access. This position supports region-wide health initiatives and sustainability of services.
Required Qualifications
- Required five (5) years' management experience with rural health clinics and/or critical access hospitals
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or similar, master's degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred/ or for internal candidates, evidence of effective management of BBAHC programs and/or services
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements including CMS, The Joint Commission, HRSA, Medicaid/Medicare, Credentialing/Enrollment, and the Community Health Aide Program
- Knowledge of human resources provider contracting, contract negotiations, and monitoring
- Evidence of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in Windows computer applications: Word, Excel and Access
- Experience with the duties, responsibilities, and vital role of the CHAP in the rural Alaska
