Job Summary
Diagnose, prevent, and treat disease while rendering medical treatment consistent with accepted professional standards. Complete accurate medical records using appropriate CPT and ICD codes and provide after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians. Comply with managed care organization rules, Joint Commission standards, and state licensing requirements while maintaining continuing medical education. Participate in non-revenue activities including committee service, community outreach, teaching, and research to advance the organization's vision. Supervise team members with final budget, hire/termination, performance appraisal, and disciplinary authority. Engage in responding to managed care contract proposals and establishing quality assurance and patient satisfaction programs.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Successful Completion of Residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Medical Staff Privileges Required
- South Carolina Medical License
- South Carolina Controlled Substance License
- Drug Enforcement Agency Number
- Basic Computer Skills
- Knowledge of Office Equipment (fax/copier)
- Mathematical skills
