Job Summary
Head and Neck Otolaryngologist responsible for evaluating and treating ENT diseases, inpatient and outpatient consultations, emergency and on-call services, and providing non-operative care in accordance with VHA standards. Responsibilities include educating and mentoring medical students, interns, and residents; contributing to surgical staffing briefings; timely documentation in the electronic health record; adherence to VHA policies including patient safety, infection control, quality management and risk management; participating in quality assurance, FPPE/OPPE, and interdisciplinary care coordination; maintaining licensure, board certification, credentialing, privileging, and mandatory training. Requires state licensure, board certification by the American Board of Otolaryngologic Surgery, and an unrestricted U.S. medical license.
Required Qualifications
- State Otolaryngologic Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Otolaryngologic Medicine from an approved institution
- Graduate of an ACGME-accredited otolaryngology residency program
- Board Certification by the American Board of Otolaryngologic Surgery
- Full, current, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
