Job Summary
Conduct total joint arthroplasty surgery for hip and knee replacements within the Bassett Healthcare Network's focused service line. Manage general orthopedic call coverage, including dedicated weekday hospitalist duties and APC 1st call systems, alongside shared call responsibilities with the full physician group. Support surgical residents and medical students while collaborating with a team of established orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice clinicians. Operate within the AO Fox Hospital joint replacement center, serving a referral base of over 150 primary care clinicians in the eight-county Central New York region.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Completion of an accredited residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
- NYS Licensure
- BLS Certification Required
- Fellowship Trained
- DEA Required
- General Orthopedic Call Required 1:9 days
- Dedicated Hospitalist for weekday coverage
- APC 1st call system in place
