Job Summary
Provide emergency surgical care, including immediate operative and non-operative management of traumatic injuries to bones, joints, and soft tissues. Perform advanced reconstructive procedures for complex fractures, including pelvic and acetabular surgery. Collaborate closely with trauma teams, anesthesiologists, critical care specialists, and rehabilitation staff to deliver integrated, high-quality patient care. Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, and medical students. Manage inpatient and trauma-related orthopedic cases with a focus on timely intervention and long-term recovery. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and trauma program development. Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active Maryland medical license
- eligibility to obtain a Maryland medical license
- Current DEA Registration
- CDS permit
- BLS (CPR) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma
- Experience in trauma care
- Experience in complex fracture management
- Experience in high-volume trauma settings
- ACLS certification
- Demonstrates critical thinking
