Job Summary
Diagnose, treat, and prescribe specialized medical services for women's health, obstetrics, and gynecology in an ambulatory clinic and inpatient setting. Deliver comprehensive care including deliveries, C-sections, postpartum services, and outpatient procedures while directing nursing staff and supervising ancillary health care providers. Participate in a shared call system for 24-hour coverage, coordinating after-hours care with emergency providers and admitting patients. Provide clinical supervision, training, and consultation to mid-level providers and other health care professionals. Maintain accurate documentation, active hospital privileges, and required licensure while engaging in quality improvement initiatives and peer review activities.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Completion of an accredited residency program in the area of practice (Obstetrics/Gynecology)
- Physician license (MD/DO) with the State of Mississippi
- Board eligible/Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Active DEA controlled substances registration
- Hospital privileges - must be obtained within 60 days of employment
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification
- Successful completion of Mallory CHC's credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriate
- Read, speak, understand, and write proficiently in English
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Healthcare information systems, such as electronic health record and practice management systems
