Job Summary
Attending and precepting high-risk and diabetic OB clinics, reading and interpreting obstetric ultrasounds, and performing specialized procedures such as amniocentesis and cervical cerclage. Collaborate with genetic counselors, participate in multidisciplinary care conferences for complex patients, and provide inpatient and outpatient consultation for critically ill or high-risk obstetric cases. Care for and treat patients with high-risk pregnancies while collecting and maintaining patient information, medical histories, and examination results. Engage in education and research activities as a teaching affiliate of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program ABOG certified Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program ABOG board-eligible or certified Maternal fetal Medicine
- 1-3 years Directly related experience
- OBGYN-Obstetrics and Gynecology Certification - AAFP - American Academy of Family Physicians
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment
- Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills
- Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Computer skills
