Job Summary
Physician / Medical Director needed to provide on-site medical and mental health care in the Monroe County Jail, Rochester, NY, with Monday–Friday hours. Role combines primary, urgent, emergency, and correctional medicine responsibilities in a private, physician-founded practice. Offers a salary range of $280,000–$330,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits, licensure reimbursement, CME, and malpractice tail coverage. Requires MD/DO, NY licensure, board certification or eligibility, DEA, BLS, and an active driver's license; prior experience in family, internal, emergency, correctional or urgent care medicine preferred. On-site supervision and leadership within the medical department are implied by the Medical Director title. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Maintain current DEA number and eligible to prescribe medications in New York state
- Maintain active BLS (CPR) certification
- Maintain current Driver’s License
