Job Summary
Part-time Physician/Medical Director providing on-site medical care at correctional facilities in Onondaga County and Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center (Jamesville, NY and Syracuse, NY). Role offers 16 hours on-site per week with potential for full-time discussion. Hourly rate range $130-$170, with negotiable salary based on experience; benefits include company-paid liability insurance (including tail) and PTO/Sick leave for part-time staff, plus licensure reimbursement. Requires MD/DO, NY license, Board Certified or Eligible, active DEA, and BLS; Driver’s license required. Provides care across primary, urgent, emergency, and addiction medicine settings within a correctional health care context.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Maintain current DEA number and eligible to prescribe medications in New York state
- Maintain active BLS (i.e., CPR) certification
- Maintain current Driver’s License
