Job Summary
Oversee clinical operations and quality assurance for employer groups by training medical staff, guiding treatment plans for Workers' Compensation cases, and optimizing resource utilization. Evaluate preventive care programs and lead incident investigations to reduce work-related injuries while managing regulatory compliance for DOT, OSHA, and CDC evaluations. Provide professional counseling on employee health and immunization matters. Requires a fully licensed CA MD or DO with DOT certification, strong ER or Workers' Compensation experience, and the ability to float between clinic locations as an independent contractor.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physician (MD or DO)
- Active, unrestricted CA State License
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099)
- DOT-certified or commitment to obtaining certification within the first 30 days of contract commencement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide clear, accurate, and professional verbal and written feedback
- Exceptional managerial and organizational capabilities
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks
- Disciplined work ethic
- Exceptional task prioritization skills
- Dedication to collaborative teamwork within a multidisciplinary health professional environment
- Must be available for in-person work
- Must be available to float between clinic locations
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant work experience in an Emergency Room (ER)
- Relevant work experience in a Workers' Compensation setting
- Deep knowledge of the procedures, regulations, codes, and other pertinent areas covering the Workers' Compensation system
