Job Summary
Provides primary and episodic care to patients independently and in collaboration with other medical professionals. Functions as a leading member of the clinical team, assuring efficient patient visit experiences and following company care protocols. Performs complete physical exams, interprets diagnostic results, prescribes medications, and supervises nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Requires excellent communication skills, outstanding patient management skills, and compliance with Texas Medical Board ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Valid Texas Medical License
- Outstanding knowledge of medications, side effects and contraindications
- Outstanding patient management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Board Certified
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care or ambulatory clinic setting preferred
- BLS certified
- Unrestricted DEA license
- DOT certified within 2 months of hire
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30 - 40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
