Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, conducting routine assessments, medication management, and care plan development. Respond to acute changes in patient condition during scheduled hours while supervising and collaborating with Geriatric Nurse Practitioners. Complete documentation in the EPIC EMR system and participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings. Communicate with patients, families, and facility staff regarding treatment plans. Set your own working hours each week with zero on-call responsibilities, no weekend coverage, and no evening or holiday obligations. Board-certified physicians with dual WI and IL licensing are required; salary ranges from $135,000 to $857,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Residency Program
- Board Certification in Family Medicine OR Internal Medicine
- Dual Licensing: WI and IL
- Active medical license in Illinois (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- DEA certification
- Current BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in post-acute care settings
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Geriatric medicine experience or specialized training
