Job Summary
Provide healthcare services to patients in clinic and via telemedicine, evaluating and managing common occupational musculoskeletal injuries, head injuries, chest/abdomen trauma, lacerations, eye injuries, skin conditions, and respiratory symptoms. Perform complete history and physical exams, interpret radiographs, prescribe medications, and order specialized testing such as MRI or EMG. Render medical opinions regarding job accommodations, causality, and work-relatedness, while participating in workers' compensation legal processes including depositions and hearings. Supervise Advanced Practice Providers and conduct Fit for Duty and Return to Work evaluations. Work three days per week in Mesa or Gilbert, AZ, with compensation of $115-130/hr.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO
- Unrestricted Arizona Medical Licensure with no active stipulations
- Active full DEA license
- Current BLS certification
- FMCSA certified for DOT exams within 90 days of hire
- Solid, demonstrated knowledge of the practice and application of occupational medicine
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing rehabilitation services
- Working knowledge of worker's compensation and clinical procedures/processes
- Working knowledge of diagnoses and treatment of occupational injury and disease
- Working knowledge of medical office administration and procedures
- Sound administration and management skills
- Ability to instruct, teach, and correct
- Confident and professional demeanor with medical providers, administrators, and clients
- Ability to perform treadmill stress tests
Desired Qualifications
- Board Certification in primary specialty preferred but not required in: Occupational Med, Family Med, Internal Med, Emergency Med, PMR, Orthopedics
- MRO certification preferred
