Job Summary
Board-certified/board-eligible Physician–Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist sought to join Ochsner Health in New Orleans. The role involves providing and coordinating patient care within the Division of Abdominal Transplant Anesthesia, contributing to a high-volume program that performs liver transplants (including liver-kidney, pediatric, split liver, living donor) as well as kidney and kidney-pancreas transplants. Requires experience in transplant anesthesia (liver, kidney, pancreas) and preferred intraoperative TEE certification. Emphasis on teaching, mentorship, and clinical investigation within a collaborative department of 80 anesthesiologists, 120 CRNAs, and 45+ house staff, with a strong focus on excellent clinical outcomes and education.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible/board certified in Anesthesiology
- Experience with liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants (including during residency or fellowship)
- Intraoperative TEE certification or pursuing certification (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; commitment to teaching and education
