Job Summary
Manage regional provider engagement, referral performance, and network growth by acting as a strategic relationship manager within the Munson Healthcare Physician Network. Maintain primary responsibility for a designated geographic region through independent account management, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with enterprise priorities. Drive system-wide consistency and growth initiatives by influencing physicians, advanced practice providers, and office staff while leveraging proficiency with healthcare data platforms. This role supports market expansion for northern Michigan's largest healthcare system, which serves over half a million residents across 29 counties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare experience
- Physician practice or ambulatory operations
- Provider relations, network development, or growth strategy
- Demonstrated understanding of provider workflows, referral processes, access challenges, and patient flow
- Proven ability to influence, engage, and build relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and office staff
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and project management skills
- Ability to independently manage a regional portfolio and execute strategic initiatives
- Proficiency with healthcare systems, referral tools, and data platforms to support decision-making
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
