Job Summary
Conduct history, physical examinations, admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultative services to adolescent and adult patients with common and complex illnesses across the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, hematopoietic, gastroenteric, and genitourinary systems. Manage a busy 100% outpatient clinic practice with a nurse line as the first call and a 1:20 call ratio. Maintain active involvement in inpatient or clinical care for at least 50 patients in the last 12 months. Participate in medical education and research to support the department's foundation of patient care. Enjoy a well-supported environment with integrated behavioral health, pharmacists, and diabetic educators, alongside 4-day work week flexibility and opportunities for medical director roles.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- Active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months
- Active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months
- Achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement
