Physician - Hospitalist, Upstate

Diagnose, prevent, and treat disease while rendering medical treatment consistent with accepted professional standards. Complete accurate, legible, and timely records using Current Procedural Terminology and International Classification of Diseases codes. Provide after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians unless an agreement exists otherwise. Comply with managed care organization rules, Joint Commission standards, and state licensing board requirements. Maintain sufficient continuing medical education to meet certification and licensing board requirements. Participate in non-revenue generating activities such as committee service, community outreach, teaching, and research. Respond to requests for proposals for managed care contracts and assist in establishing quality assurance and patient satisfaction programs.
