Job Summary
Clinical leadership role in inpatient geriatric consultation across medicine, trauma/orthopedics, ICU, and subspecialty services (Heart Failure/Advanced Cardiology). Responsibilities include geriatric assessment and management recommendations, teaching and mentorship of residents/fellows/students, engagement in scholarly activity and clinical research, and quality improvement to reduce hospital-acquired complications (falls, delirium, pressure ulcers). Board-certified in Geriatric or Palliative Medicine with at least 5 years post-fellowship academic experience; strong interdisciplinary collaboration and leadership within a university hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification: Dual or single Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine or Palliative Medicine
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of post-fellowship experience within an Academic Medical Center
- Academic Track Record: Peer-reviewed publications or significant contributions to medical education
- Interdisciplinary Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and lead within a "team-of-teams" environment
