Physician - Hospitalist

Diagnose, prevent, and treat disease while rendering medical treatment consistent with accepted professional standards. Complete accurate, legible, and timely records using Current Procedural Terminology and International Classification of Diseases codes. Provide after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians unless an agreement exists. Comply with managed care organization rules, Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission standards. Maintain continuing medical education for certification and licensing. Participate in non-revenue activities including committees, community outreach, teaching, and research. Engage in responding to managed care contract proposals and establish quality assurance, utilization management, and patient satisfaction programs. This non-management role reports to a supervisor at Greenville Memorial Hospital, serving the University Medical Group Accountabilities.
