Job Summary
Provide inpatient palliative care consultation at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South Campuses for adult patients with serious illness. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, chaplains, and case managers within an interdisciplinary team model. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows while participating in interdisciplinary education and rounds. Contribute to hospital-based quality improvement initiatives and help grow palliative care across the academic health system. Work Monday through Friday with no weekends or call. Join a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona consistent with credentials and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
- Knowledge of hospice, serious illness care, and community resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring in an academic medical environment
- Interest in quality improvement, program development, curriculum development, or scholarly activity
- Faculty appointment at the University of Arizona consistent with credentials and experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred but open to new graduates from fellowship
