Job Summary
Provide inpatient palliative care consultation for adult patients with serious illness at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South Campaces, collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, and social workers. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows while participating in interdisciplinary education and rounds. Contribute to hospital-based quality improvement initiatives and support program development across the academic health system. Monday through Friday with no weekends or call. Faculty appointment consistent with credentials. Board eligible or certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine required.
Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
- Knowledge of hospice, serious illness care, and community resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring in an academic medical environment
- Monday - Friday schedule
- No weekends and no call
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred but open to new graduates from fellowship
- Interest in quality improvement, program development, curriculum development, or scholarly activity
